MASSAGE
MASSAGE
I offer bodywork that supports the body to relax, relieves stress, prevents injuries, and promotes physical and mental wellbeing. I offer 1-2-1 treatments and community workshops sharing the healing and therapeutic benefits of traditional Thai yoga massage.
I currently offer regular traditional Thai yoga massage sessions on weekends at Maitri Studio Belfast. These sessions are open to all with an interest in receiving bodywork and you'd be very welcome to join. Alternatively, throughout the year I teach community workshops where you can learn, practice, and take home different Thai massage sequences for use with friends and family. You can find these on the Events page and if there's anything that resonates with you please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Massage
A traditional Thai yoga massage experience is a rhythmic, restoring, and rejuvenating one. The therapist uses a combination of acupressure, massage and gently applied yoga stretches using hands, feet and elbows in a flowing sequence. Energy lines, acupressure points, muscles, ligaments and joints are stretched and opened stimulating flow.
Its firm but meditative movements of pressing, rocking, and yoga-like positions have a distinctive quality. Because this massage is working on the different body layers (koshas) the release works on an emotional, energetic and physical level. The overall effect is one of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and physical and mental well being.

05.
Should I book a 60 minute or 90 minute massage?
If it's your first time or you are short on time you might like to book 60 minutes. I recommend 90 minutes as it allows for a comprehensive massage with plenty of time to work on all areas of the body. Please wear comfortable loose fitting clothing to your appointment.
